George Shelvey, the custodian for Nottingham Forest, has joined Dundalk.

Shelvey is permanently transferred out of the City Ground.

Shelvey stated, “Forest told me that Dundalk was really interested in signing me when the transfer window opened.” I tried to let other people handle the situation and concentrated on my training and play, but I secretly understood that coming here would be a significant step for me.

“The League of Ireland is extremely competitive, and every game is a tough environment,” I was informed by a few Irish boys at Forest. It’s time for me to play each week, strive to accomplish goals at Dundalk, and show everyone what I’m capable of. I’m excited to get started at this enormous club with a great history.”

“George is a player we have been looking at for a long time, so we’re delighted to have brought him to Dundalk and we’re looking forward to getting him integrated into the group,” added Stephen O’Donnell, the manager of Dundalk.

“We are expecting him to come in and make a big impact because he has experience working with elite keepers, has trained in a Premier League setting, and is young enough to start a career.”
