It appears that Michigan Football will soon appoint a general manager. According to a report by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Sean Magee will be there.
Magee has been the chief of staff of the Chicago Bears since May 2022. He was an associate athletic director at Michigan from 2017 to 22. It seems like Michigan is joining the college ranks in recruiting and scouting by using a more pro-style approach. Magee will work closely with Sherrone Moore to develop a cohesive plan for which recruits to target and which players to add through the transfer portal. Magee will play a significant part in shaping the Michigan roster. Magee will also have a significant influence on football team-related NIL initiatives. This appears to be a significant and diverse position for Magee.
