Sherrone Moore, the first-year Michigan coach, has decided on a date for the spring game while he continues to assemble his coaching staff.
The programme revealed on Thursday that the national champion Wolverines would play an open-to-the-public game on Saturday, April 20, at noon at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbour.
The spring game will be the first opportunity for supporters to witness the Michigan team on the pitch since the team’s victory against Washington in the national championship in January, though no additional information was disclosed.
Naturally, a lot has transpired since then, including the announcement of Jim Harbaugh as the Los Angeles Chargers’ new head coach and the declaration of over a dozen players for the NFL draft.
Along with a sizable portion of the top-ranked defence in the country, Michigan anticipates the return of numerous key offensive players, such as tight end Colston Loveland and running back Donovan Edwards.
Who is going to be those players’ coach? Moore is still attempting to fill most of the defensive staff, so that remains a question mark.
Michigan wants you to mark your calendars for the yearly spring game in the interim. Await further information in the upcoming weeks. It is anticipated that the Wolverines will start spring practice in March.
