Tennessee Football’s Kamal Hadden will have season-ending surgery.
Corner of the Tennessee Volunteers After suffering an upper-body injury, Kamal Hadden is scheduled to undergo surgery that will terminate the season.
Today, Tennessee was told that one of its best players would need surgery to finish his season. Kamal Hadden, a cornerback, is that player.
Kamal Hadden is a senior redshirt who has had an outstanding season thus far. Many thought he was statistically ranked in the top 5. In seven games, he had seven pass deflections and three interceptions.
He was hurt early in the Alabama game trying to tackle an Alabama player, which resulted in a shoulder injury. Not until after the crimson flood had scored, and already clearly frustrated, did he enter the injury tent. In the third quarter, Hadden made a comeback, but he quickly left the game. The gifted cornerback ended his season earlier this morning when he announced he would be having surgery. What will be his future destination is a major topic for the Volunteer Corner. Considering that this was his last season of eligibility, only time will tell. Using Instagram, Hadden posted, “The get-back starts now.” It’s reasonable to predict that Vol Nation will unite to support the redshirt senior corner at this difficult time, even if he will be missed in orange and white. After all, he was quickly growing to become a beloved member of the team. I’m wishing Kamal Hadden luck.
