The former Eagle will be a member of the Steelers.
It appears that the Pittsburgh Steelers have added another depth addition at wide out.
Quez Watkins, a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, is being signed by the Steelers. We have not yet decided on the duration or the financial specifics.
Watkins played in nine Eagles games the previous year, hauling in 15 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown on 21 targets. In 2021 and 2022, he played in all 17 games, accumulating 76 receptions for 1,001 yards and four touchdowns during that time.
Watkins, a product of Southern Mississippi, was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Van Jefferson, who played for the Falcons in Atlanta last season alongside offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, was also signed by the Steelers earlier in the summer.
Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins, Calvin Austin III, and George Pickens make up the Steelers’ wide receivers room at the moment. Renowned veterans Denzel Mims and Marquez Callaway will also be vying for a roster place.
