This summer, Rangers is open to receiving bids of up to £15 million for Jack Butland, sources have told Football Insider.
The 31-year-old goalie has drawn interest from teams south of the border after emerging as Philippe Clement’s team’s best performer this season.
Butland hasn’t ruled out returning to the Premier League this summer, should an offer be presented, as Football Insider reported.
Rangers know they will not be able to match the pay that a top-tier English team can give, which worries them about losing Butland.
If an offer of about £15 million is made, they won’t stop Butland from moving; this would be the second-largest sale in the club’s history, after Calvin Bassey’s £20 million move to Ajax.
Rangers are willing to take £15 million. This summer’s bid by Jack Butland
Butland signed a four-year contract with the Glasgow giants on a free transfer from Selhurst Park, which ended in the summer of 2023.
Butland has made 47 appearances in all competitions this season, keeping 23 clean sheets, and has had an incredible debut season in Scotland.
Despite Butland playing every minute of their league season, Rangers had the greatest defensive record in the Scottish Premiership, having only given up 16 goals in 29 league games in 2023–24.In other developments, Rangers want to sign a “A-list” replacement and allow an experienced first-team player to go.
