Rangers “will invest,” according to Keith Wyness, as “£20m” details emerge.
Insisting that Rangers “will invest” and strongly support Philippe Clement should they advance straight to the Champions League league phase is former Aberdeen manager Keith Wyness.
The 66-year-old, who led Aberdeen from 2000 to 2004, also held extended leadership positions at Everton and Aston Villa, and currently operates a football advisory business that counsels elite teams, stated on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that the Gers board now has a “renewed belief and trust” in Clement.
Rangers would increase their transfer budget by over £20 million if they are able to play in the Champions League the next season, according to a report published by Football Insider on Saturday, March 9.
With nine games remaining, the Ibrox team leads Celtic by two points in the Scottish Premiership, which is the only way to qualify directly for the competition.
According to Wyness, Rangers may receive a £20 million transfer investment this summer.
Clement took over as manager of the team in October 2023 and has won 25 of the 31 games he has managed. Wyness stated on Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast that qualifying for the Champions League right away would be beneficial for the team.
However, the race for the title is extremely close, and the Old Firm games still have a ways to go.
However, Rangers now have a fresh sense of confidence and faith in Philippe Clement. After making a few errors, they believe they have found the correct one.
