In the NFL predraft process, Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright has emerged victorious. After finishing his junior year at the University of Tennessee and being the team’s first 1,000-yard rusher since the 2015 campaign, he won over a lot of supporters.
Wright was predicted by ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. to move quickly through the draft process, and Kiper reiterated this prediction following Wright’s strong showing at the NFL Combine.
Wright’s only accomplishments were an 11-foot-2 broad leap, which was the best among running backs, and a lightning-fast 4.38 40-yard sprint, which placed second at his position. What’s good for NFL evaluators is that he wasn’t burdened with as much work as other elite running backs going through this process. In addition, he will turn 21 during his debut season and is only 20 years old. So, you have a young, talented running back out of an SEC school that is attracting the attention of NFL executives already. At the NFL Combine, he currently ranks among the most athletic backs.
