Brandon Williams, a defender for Manchester United, is remained at Carrington following an injury setback.

Brandon Williams, a defender for boss Kieran McKenna has experienced a setback in his recuperation at Carrington, according to Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna.

Williams, who signed a season-long loan agreement with the Championship’s front-runners last summer, returned to United last month for a “medical assessment.” After a string of minor injuries and recurrent illnesses, the decision was made for him to rejoin his parent club.

After taking over as manager of Ipswich in December 2021, McKenna has performed admirably. He stated on February 2 that he anticipated Williams returning to Portman Road in no more than two weeks. He has now acknowledged, meanwhile, that he is still at United despite a setback in his recuperation.

McKenna, a five-year Old Trafford coach, has not yet resumed grass training and is unclear of when he will be able to rejoin the Championship team and help them compete for promotion. Presently occupying the third position in the rankings, the Tractor Boys are fiercely competing for the second automatic promotion slot.

McKenna stated, “We were hoping that would be the timescale, but he’s had a setback in his recovery,” as reported by the East Anglian Daily Times. He’s not training yet, but he’s still at United.

He’s not even on the grass with them yet, so we don’t know how long the setback will take. Thus, he’s still a ways off.
