Ball continues to recover from Right Ankle Tendinopathy
LaMelo Ball had a week off during the all-star break, and there was optimism that he might be able to recover from his tendinopathy in his right ankle. But Ball is still out for the Charlotte Hornets’ first away game in Utah, according to the team’s initial injury report.
The Hornets previously reported Ball as having Right Ankle Tendinopathy in the injury report from January 31st, despite the fact that the injury is just identified as “R Ankle” on the report.
Watch Jeff Stotts, an injury analyst, talk about Ball’s injury history on the All Hornets YouTube channel to gain a better understanding of Ball’s problems.
What is Ankle Tendinopathy?
The tendons that supply the Peroneals muscles run behind the outside ankle bone and along the outside of your lower leg. Your peroneals’ primary job is to support your ankle when walking and keep you from tripping over it and spraining it.
Ankle tendinopathy is a disorder that frequently results in discomfort on the outside of the foot or ankle. This pain gets better at rest and gets worse when you run, jump, or stroll.
Micro damage and repetitive stress impede down the body’s natural healing process, which can lead to tendon injuries happening more quickly than the body can repair them.
