2026 defensive lineman Jerimy Finch Jr. is hoping to visit Ann Arbor in the offseason after receiving an offer from Michigan.

After settling down as Michigan’s defensive line coach for a short period, Lou Esposito is now searching for potential Wolverines on the recruiting trail. He has his eye on a 6-3, 230-pound defensive lineman from the Midwest. Coming from Warren Central in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerimy Finch Jr. received an offer last Friday from Michigan, a scholarship he had been excitedly awaiting.

Finch Jr. told Wolverine Digest, “As a sophomore, I feel blessed to receive any offers.” However, due of my friendship with Coach Espo, I was kind of waiting on this one. As a freshman last year, he had made me one of, if not my first, offers. When I learned he had transferred [to Michigan], I thought he wouldFinch was right to feel that way, and the new defensive line coach at Michigan quickly made that offer. Esposito had extended an offer to Finch to join the Western Michigan staff back in December. But Finch has really taken off on the recruiting road since then. Finch received an offer from Tennessee this past week as well, and he has already made spring visits to Louisville and Notre Dame. Thus, as the versatile lineman moves through the recruitment process, he has a lot to think about.

As this process progresses, I will be learning more about Michigan, Finch stated. “I will learn about this on a personal level over the next year or so, but I am well-versed in the statistics.”

Finch stated that he is currently training primarily in the offseason and fitting in trips when he can. When time permits, he would like to travel to Ann Arbor to personally assess the Wolverines’ program.

Aside from my family’s trip to Florida, I don’t currently have any plans for the offseason, Finch stated. “I just don’t have a set date right now, but I will make it up to Michigan.” I’m attempting to make sense of things.Warren Central only had statistics for ten games last season, but according to 247Sports.com, Finch was a force in those games with 41 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one field goal block. Finch was undoubtedly a significant player for the Warriors’ defensive line a year ago, and coach Esposito believes that Finch has the potential to be an even more disruptive prospect who may blow apart Michigan’s pocket a few years from now.
