Herro is joining the Miami Heat for their forthcoming three-game road trip against the Rockets, who just saw their hopes of qualifying for the postseason blow away after losing to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
There is hope that Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, who hasn’t played since February 23 due to a foot ailment, will be available for Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets, according to sources who spoke with @TheAthletic @Stadium. Herro journeyed to Houston, Indiana, and Atlanta during the team’s three-game trip.
Herro hasn’t played since late February due to medial tendonitis in his right foot. The Miami Heat, who are only half a game off of the top six in the East, will greatly benefit if he is able to play against the Rockets and remains healthy.Herro is averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and a 39.9 percent shooting percentage from outside the arc this season. When he plays his first game back, he might be a little out of rhythm, but soon, he should find his rhythm again.
