As they have always done, the New York Giants are scouting elite quarterback prospects, and this week is no exception.
ian DaboBrll, the head coach, saw Michael Penix during the University of Washington’s pro day. Although the Giants were there at UNC as well, there is a belief that Penix has received more attention than UNC quarterback Drake Maye.
In keeping with that idea, Maye will supposedly visit and work out with the Giants by the end of the week.
Penix dazzled on his Pro Day, clocking a 40-yard dash in less than 4.6 seconds. Although Maye didn’t see Daboll at UNC, he will have his opportunity.Prioritization may have been the impression, but occasionally scheduling is all that’s involved.
Though it’s still unclear if the Giants will even select a quarterback with the sixth pick, they are undoubtedly researching the quarterback class of 2024. Though it’s difficult to think they go a different path given the amount of money devoted to the best quarterback prospects.Daniel Jones is reportedly the person, and starting Jones is the plan even if they choose a quarterback in the draft. But regardless of what they say in public, if the correct conditions are met, any position can be taken at any time. Having a backup is usually a smart idea.
