According to a recent economic study commissioned by Downtown Phoenix Inc., the postseason games for the Diamondbacks had a major beneficial impact on the bottom line of Downtown companies.
According to the report, the three World Series games the Chase Field Cubs played against the Texas Rangers in 2023 alone brought in an economic impact of $107.6 million.

The 2023 MLB postseason saw 336,370 ticketed people attend games at Chase Field.
3.9% of those who purchased tickets were Phoenix locals, 63.4% lived in other Valley communities, 11.4% in other parts of Arizona, and 21.3% traveled outside of the state.
Revenues from downtown restaurants and bars between October and December 2023 increased by more than 26% when compared to the same period in 2022.
When compared to non-playoff game nights, sales at Downtown pubs and restaurants increased by 30.7% on home playoff game nights.
17.8% of playoff game ticket holders went to a Downtown bar or restaurant prior to entering Chase Field, and 28.2% went there after the game.
The total lodging income for the seven Chase Field home playoff games exceeded the average by $625,422.
