Which Panthers players would you like to see in a reality show that goes behind the scenes?
Similar-style television shows have been quite successful for other sports; one such example is Netflix’s F1 series “Drive to Survive,” which had a meteoric rise in popularity within the sport.
Hockey players are far more interesting people than they usually let the public see, and a show like this may be a terrific way to highlight these qualities.
The top 5 Panthers players I would want to see on the program are as follows:
First, Matthew Tkachuk
This was a simple initial decision. In addition to his gregarious demeanor, he possesses the play to support it. Without a doubt, Tkachuk is one of the league’s faces. Along with that, there is the mystery surrounding his family, which includes his brother Brady, the captain of the Ottawa Senators, and his father, the legendary Keith Tkachuk of the Winnipeg Jets. Anyone could be upset if one or both of the Tkachuks were picked for this show, in my opinion. This is an easy 1.1 selection.
2) Sergei Bobrovsky
In the NHL, Bobrovsky has had one of the most intriguing and mysterious careers that I can recall. He is now the highest paid goalie in the NHL and a three-time All-Star as well as a two-time Vezina Trophy winner. Throughout his career, he has also struggled with periods of inconsistency. In the previous season, he went from being benched late in the game to captaining the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final. It would be fascinating to have a peek behind the scenes with him as he is the ultimate swing man for a team’s success. In addition, goalies are known for having eccentric personalities, so I’m in.
3) Sam Reinhart
In an ideal world, Reinhart would have appeared on a program like this one this year. Although Reinhart was a good player in Buffalo, he has improved since joining the Panthers Organization. The question is not if he will score 50 goals this season, but rather when. Perhaps by this coming week’s end. Given that this is his career year and his contract expires this summer, he could expect a sizable payout. It would be intriguing to learn the inner-workings of how he has elevated his game to an elite level.
Fourth, Alexander Barkov
Navarro Sam, from USA TODAY Sports
When discussing Aleksander Barkov’s game, you’ll frequently hear that he’s one of the most complete and underappreciated players in hockey. But The Panthers Captain simply carries on with his duties in silence. You don’t know a lot about him off the ice, so this would be a great opportunity for NHL and Panthers supporters to learn more about the real Alex Barkov.
5) Ryan Lomberg
When you go by the moniker “Lomberghini,” people are curious to learn more about you! Even though Lomberg isn’t a household name in the game, intriguing players can occasionally be found in an NHL locker room. His journey from being an undrafted free agent to being a consistent player on a Stanley Cup contender is exactly the kind of underdog tale that these kinds of programs have excelled at narrating over the years
