This week, a four-star wide receiver from the Class of 2025 who made many trips to Tennessee last year is scheduled to attend one of the Vols’ spring practices.

Dillon Alfred is about to travel back to Knoxville to watch a Vols practice after seeing a few of the team’s home games during the previous season. The Saraland (Ala.) High School wide receiver, a four-star recruit in the class of 2025, announced on his X account on Sunday that he will be returning to Tennessee on Monday for the team’s first spring practice.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Alfred made a good impression at the Vols’ inaugural camp last year, leading to a scholarship offer from Tennessee over ten months ago, in late May. During the 2023 season, he traveled to Tennessee three more times. The most recent visit was for the Vols’ game versus Texas A&M on October 14.

He posted on his X account on Sunday, revealing that he will be visiting Knoxville this week. He tagged Tennessee coach Josh Heupel and wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope in the post.

“Vol Nation, it’s (been) a minute, but tomorrow I’ll be back at @Vol_Football! Alfred sent a pair of orange emojis along with the hashtag “#RockyTop.”

More than fifteen universities, including Missouri, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt, have extended offers to Alfred. He has planned an official visit to Missouri for the weekend of June 7, and on June 21 he will make an official visit to Arkansas.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, he is classified as a four-star prospect. He is ranked as the No. 372 overall player, No. 51 wide receiver in the 2025 class, and the No. 17 junior from Alabama. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, who ranks him as the No. 19 Alabama junior and the No. 47 wide receiver in the 2025 class.

According to the only prediction available on 247Sports Crystal Ball, Alfred, who went to Gautier (Miss.) High School before transferring to Saraland for his junior year, is expected to land in Missouri. Earlier this month, he informed Brandon Huffman of 247Sports that the Tigers were at the top of his list.

Alfred said to Huffman of Missouri, “They showed a lot of love to me and my family when I went up there for a visit.” “I have a great relationship with Coach Drink (Eli Drinkwitz), and we talk every day.” Observe Luther Burden making significant plays and observe their handling of him. They have no trouble taking shots that are directed down field.

Alfred informed Huffman earlier this month that he would be traveling to Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Texas A&M, and Texas in the spring. KJ Lacey, a four-star quarterback in the Class of 2025 who is committed to the Longhorns, is one of his teammates from Saraland. Earlier this month, Alfred also informed Huffman that he was getting ready to schedule an official visit with Texas A&M.

Last year, Alfred made several references to Tennessee as his commander. He declared the Vols to be “number one on my list” following his most recent visit to Knoxville.

“Dude, I had fun with it. Every time I visit, it feels like home,” he remarked in October. “I’ve been up here a lot, so I’m used to everything. Every time my family and I visit this place, we have a terrific time.

He attended the Tennessee games on September 9 against Austin Peay and September 30 against South Carolina, prior to the team’s victory over Texas A&M on October 14.

Every time I come up here, Alfred says to GoVols247, “It’s like, a feeling that I’ve never had before.” This was in October. It has to do with my interactions with the coaches. I have them at the top because I recognize myself in the way they operate and everything. They currently hold the top spot on my list. They have spent some time up there.
