Juwan Howard addressed his career and thanked several program members in a message he released a few days after losing his job as Michigan’s head men’s basketball coach.
2019 saw Howard, a former standout athlete at Michigan who graduated, return to Ann Arbor. After five seasons on the team and an 8-24 record this season, he was fired on Friday. Howard’s record was given credit of 82–67. Due to open heart surgery that took place in the winter, he was not Michigan’s active head coach for the first ten games of the season.
