Joe Milton III, the quarterback for Tennessee, took a test on Saturday afternoon at the NFL Combine in front of NFL evaluators. Caleb Williams of USC, Drake Maye of North Carolina, and Jayden Daniels of LSU chose not to throw and test during the combine, which gave Milton and a few other undrafted players an extra chance to show off their skills.
Over the years, Milton has had some epic workouts in different environments. Alongside many other elite college football players, he was one of the top physical standouts at the Manning Passing Academy last offseason, drawing enthusiastic accolades. At 62 miles per hour on Saturday, he had the hardest throw of any quarterback taking part. During the go-ball portion of the exercise, he made multiple tosses of more than 70 yards, and he finished the afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium by backflipping in front of the visiting fans.
