Phil Foden has expressed his stance regarding a potential transfer to Real Madrid amidst surprising rumors of his departure from Manchester City.
Phil Foden has already made it clear that he has no intentions of leaving Manchester City despite the speculation linking him with Real Madrid. Foden has been instrumental for City, particularly in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, contributing 18 goals and 10 assists in 40 appearances this season under Pep Guardiola.
Reports from Defensa Central suggest that Real Madrid is keen on acquiring Foden’s services and has their chief scout, Juni Calafat, eyeing him as their next superstar signing. However, Foden’s contract with City runs until 2027, indicating that any potential transfer would come at a high cost.
Despite the lure of a move to a club like Real Madrid, persuading Foden to leave his childhood club would likely be a significant challenge. Foden himself has expressed his commitment to Manchester City, stating in December that he sees himself solely as a City player and cannot envision leaving the club at any point in his career.
