A lackluster performance from Saudi investors may disrupt Chelsea’s upcoming transfer strategy.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, there’s a possibility that Fulham might overlook Armando Broja. Jacobs reports that Al-Shabab might sell Diallo and pursue Alvaro Morata instead. He mentions that Wolves showed interest in Diallo in January, while clubs like Brentford, Burnley, and Fulham are eyeing him for the summer.
If Fulham’s interest in Diallo becomes more serious, it could spell trouble for Chelsea. Despite signing Broja on loan from Chelsea in January, the 22-year-old has seen limited playing time. Jacobs suggests that Fulham would need to pay over €40 million to sign Broja permanently, making Diallo a more economical choice. Considering Chelsea’s interest in splurging on a striker like Victor Osimhen in the upcoming transfer window, failing to offload Broja, who could bring in significant profit, could greatly impact their transfer plans.
