The star guard for the UNC basketball team was named the conference’s best player for the previous week of play for the fourth time this season.
For the fourth time this season, UNC’s outstanding basketball player has been chosen as the ACC Player of the Week. Davis becomes the seventh Tar Heel to earn the honor when he finished the 2023–2024 season with four more points than any other conference player.
This award is definitely merited given his performance in Monday night’s UNC basketball team victory against Miami in Chapel Hill. Davis shattered the Dean Smith Center record for the most points scored in a single game with his 42 points.

He scored 14 points against NC State to cap off an impressive 42-point outburst. The Wolfpack made every effort to slow down Davis, even though his scoring total from this game isn’t as impressive as it was in his last game. Other Tar Heels stood up to share the scoring load, and the Tar Heels prevailed over their in-state rival.
