Jaime Jaquez, a rookie for the Miami Heat, never ceases to amaze people in the NBA.

Jaime Jaquez, a rookie for the Miami Heat, is back on the front page after a quiet few weeks away from the spotlight.

His effort against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night left colleagues and peers agog. Even though Terry Rozier, Jimmy Butler, and Tyler Herro were out of the starting lineup, he still contributed 26 points and five rebounds to help the Heat win.

Check out what people are saying about Jaquez below:De’Aaron Fox, a star for the Kings: “He’s been a matchup issue for a lot of people.” People aren’t expecting him to accomplish this or that, of course, because he attended college for such a long time. His style of play is universally applicable, regardless of the team he plays for. He is adept at using his body. He makes you whirl in one direction. You’re probably not blocking his shot if you’re not 6-8. I think he’s much better at one-on-one basketball than people realize.”

Heat forward Bam Adebayo: “I’ve always said that he’s not your typical rookie. We will continue to push him to be who he is even though he is much older than he is.”

“He’s been a role player in college, ninth man, eighth man, seventh man, sixth man, and a starter as the leading man,” said Erik Spoelstra, head coach of the Miami Heat. We believe that material things matter, and he is wise and knowledgeable.

The Heat will play the Portland Trail Blazers tonight when they go back to action.
