Joakim Dodson (Collierville, Tenn.), a three-star wide receiver in 2025, has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers and will transfer to The Baylor School.
Joakim Dodson, a wide receiver out of Collierville High School, had a fantastic junior season and garnered the attention of some national college recruiters. The Tennessee coaching staff was aware of the in-state prospect’s outstanding play and was able to get an early commitment from him
A few weeks later, Dodson’s move to The Baylor School was confirmed by Tennessee Rivals. Dodson is ranked as the No. 556 prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. During his junior year at Collierville, he caught 49 passes for 839 yards and seven touchdowns.
Cameron Sparks, a wide receiver out of Baylor School who the Vols had been chasing since he was in the eighth grade, will be Dodson’s partner. Currently ranked as the 42nd best talent in the 2025 class, Sparks is attracting interest from top schools such as Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, and Georgia. With Sparks, Tennessee’s chances of having a future Vol on the team can only improve.
