Bobby Wales, a promising striker for Kilmarnock who is now on loan at Alloa, is reportedly being pursued by three Championship clubs, including Leeds United.
As the transfer window has closed, Jordan Miles, the new head of recruitment, is limited in his ability to enhance Daniel Farke’s team and youth sets.
But the team behind Miles and Gretar Steinsson will be searching the UK and abroad for top players in order to make possible summer additions.
This week, the Daily Record revealed that several clubs were presently scouting Bobby Wales, an 18-year-old striker. Leeds was one of those clubs.
After being released by Kilmarnock at the beginning of the season, Wales is currently enjoying a loan stay in Scottish League One with Alloa, where he has scored nine goals across all competitions.
At this writing, he has seven goals in his previous eight games, which seems to have intrigued Leeds, Stoke City, and Ipswich Town.
Over the previous few seasons, Leeds’ U21 team has lost some quality players. Those who want to play senior football must go on loan, and some players who probably don’t have a lengthy future at Elland Road have committed to permanent deals.
Thus, the team needs to increase the number of young players it has on hand by adding players from outside throughout each transfer window.
Leeds would be adding another excellent striker to their squad in Wales with 6 feet 2 inches of height and the build to make the grade at Alloa.
This kind of deal saves the club a ton of money in the transfer market if he has an influence on the first team in the future.
