Joakim Dodson, a Tennessee football commit, told The Commercial Appeal on Friday night that he is moving out of Collierville to attend Division II-AAA powerhouse Baylor.
Dodson, a rising senior, is ranked by 247Sports Composite as Tennessee’s No. 15 college football recruit. The three-star wide receiver claimed he will not be living on campus as his family is relocating to Chattanooga.
Dodson stated, “It wasn’t an expected decision.” “For my final year, my family and I made the decision to move…. I considered Baylor School when the opportunity arose, and I believe their outstanding football squad and academic programme made it the greatest fit for me to play at.”
Dodson, who recently committed to the Vols, made the decision to relocate to Chattanooga because he thinks it will best prepare him for SEC football and, ideally, an NFL future. When Amari Jefferson steps down, he will have very big shoes to fill.
Dodson remarked, “I’m prepared for it.” “A significant task. He had two excellent seasons back-to-back at Alabama, and I’m more than up to the challenge.
