Kerem Aktürkoğlu of Galatasaray may have finally given Leeds United the opportunity to recruit him after he “decided to leave” the Turkish team.

That’s according to FotoSport, who claim the athlete wants to relocate overseas because he feels underappreciated by his current team.

They clarify that Aktürkoğlu, who Leeds sought in January, has grown more irritated with Galatasaray’s lack of earning potential, with his present wage over a year only covering the cost of loanee Tanguy Ndombele in a month.

Considering their individual worth and services to the squad, together with the fact that there has been discussion of an increase that has not materialized, he is not pleased with that.

As a result, he has reportedly “decided to leave” at the conclusion of the season, saying he wants to get away from the fan base’s reaction and feels he has reached his limit in Turkey.
He is so eager to go on that he has told his agency not to discuss a pay increase with Galatasaray, which supports the theory that he will be able to get a transfer.

Leeds, who were keen on the player during the January transfer window, should be interested in that.

They were mentioned as having an interest in multiple publications that month; one of them even said they had “taken action” to try to facilitate a move.

Galatasaray ultimately vetoed the move, but Leeds might now have a chance to complete a deal given that Aktürkoğlu has made his intentions known.
