The Bucks guard Patrick Beverley is typically very competitive, so their matchup with the 76ers on the 25th should be exciting.

It has been Patrick Beverley’s livelihood to exaggerate the annoyance on his shoulder. Beverley isn’t afraid to use even the tiniest slight to spur him on to improve as a basketball player. After being traded for Cameron Payne to the Milwaukee Bucks at the deadline, Beverley now has even more incentive to play against his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers, as Kyle Lowry, the team’s de facto successor, has joined Philly.

Speaking on the Pat Bev Pod, the newly acquired Bucks guard said he is eager to be Lowry’s worst enemy and that he has his next game against the 76ers circled on his calendar.

“Human When we play Philly, I’m all over Kyle [Lowry]. direct. That’s exactly the way things are; how dare you? Say less, though,” Beverley advised.

When it comes to a good tale, Patrick Beverley is not the type of basketball player to allow logic and facts get in the way. That ranks him among the NBA’s most curiously entertaining players ever. Beverley knows why he was moved, but he still wants to make a statement against Kyle Lowry on February 25, when the Bucks play the 76ers.

The Bucks guard realized that Lowry was probably going to be on the buyout market following his trade to the Charlotte Hornets, and that head coach Nick Nurse of the 76ers would want to acquire the point guard he had the greatest success with. In the meantime, Beverley recognized that, with Doc Rivers taking over as Milwaukee’s head coach, Rivers would want to add a well-known player to the club to help set the tone during their problems defensively.

However, it’s still unclear whether Patrick Beverley will face Kyle Lowry on the 25th, as that is his desired matchup. Tyrese Maxey and Cameron Payne are the 76ers’ alternatives at point guard, and since Lowry hasn’t played in a while, it’s unclear how many, if any, minutes he’ll be playing by then. But if the Bucks guard does wind up playing with Lowry in the coming days, get ready for some drama.
