Danilo Gallinari, a former big man for the Boston Celtics, has chosen to sign a contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, per recent reports from Shams Charania of The Athletic. A correspondent for The Athletic reports, “Gallinari is finalising a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.” “This week, Michael Tellem, Gallinari’s agent, has been talking options with a number of potential title contenders.”
Regarding Gallinari’s search for the ideal partner for the remainder of the season, Charania continues, “Gallinari seriously considered several teams – including (the Los Angeles) Clippers, (Cleveland) Cavaliers, and (Chicago) Bulls – before choosing the Bucks, where he’ll have opportunity for a strong role under his old coach Doc Rivers.”
This season, the Italian has split time between the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards (whom Boston traded to acquire Kristaps Porzingis for the Celtics).
After nearly finishing his rehabilitation with the organisation, the Celtics shipped Gallo away. The seasoned forward had never worn a Boston uniform after hurting his ACL during an overseas match during the 2022 NBA offseason.
