Enzo Fernández, a midfielder for Chelsea, has denied rumors that he would leave the team this summer.

There have been rumors that the Argentina midfield player may want to leave Chelsea in June given the team’s poor Premier League standing and likelihood of missing out on the Champions League the following year.

“I’m not sure where those rumors originated. social networks, I believe. I vehemently disagree. I’m pleased here at Chelsea, and I don’t want to go,” Fernández said to ESPN.

“I am so appreciative of Chelsea’s amazing treatment of me, which began on the first day.

“Thank you and I’m pleased at Chelsea, no matter what happens in football. I’ll stay [here] for however long they want.”

Shortly after Argentina’s 2022 World Cup victory, Fernández, 23, signed a €121 million ($152.8 million) transfer contract to join Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023.
