Haywood Highsmith’s representative stated on Thursday night that the Miami Heat forward is “shook” following his involvement in an early-morning collision in Southwest Miami-Dade with a guy attempting to help the driver of another wrecked car.
According to the authorities, the injured individual had many fractures and may have required to have part of his leg amputated. Highsmith struck the injured man around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday while he was attempting to move the damaged car, which was not equipped with lights, out of the path of oncoming traffic, according to the police.
For reckless driving, Highsmith received a citation, according to Miami-Dade Police.
According to Jerry Dianis, Highsmith’s agent, Haywood struck a pedestrian pulling a crippled automobile down a dark road without turning on his lights on Thursday night.

Highsmith was reportedly moving at around 45 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to Jerry Dianis Police. According to the police, Highsmith was not intoxicated and was not in any pain.
Highsmith was returning home from Miami’s Tuesday night game against Orlando when the collision occurred close to the intersection of Southwest 136th Street and 138th Avenue.
When the Heat played San Antonio on Wednesday night, Highsmith was not present. He was away for personal reasons, according to the squad.
