Miles-Bridges

Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets raised his profile during intense trade rumours by scoring 45 points in the team’s 123-117 defeat of the Toronto Raptors.

According to Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer, the Hornets player was questioned following the game about the deadline and whether he wanted to be in Charlotte:

Miles Bridges was questioned about meeting the trade deadline and if, as he had previously informed me, he still wanted to be in Charlotte. “My response remains unchanged,” he declared.

Bridges was singled out by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst earlier on Wednesday as a player who he believes has “a good chance” to be transferred.

Miles Bridges stands out among the players I find most fascinating to discuss. He had an incredible 41 points in one game—talk about a showcase performance. The Hornets lost their Monday game despite a 41-point performance against the Lakers. It appears that the Hornets have a strong probability of moving Miles Bridges. I’m not positive, but he seems to be the subject of many diverse interests.

Miller gave the Hornets a significant block on Wednesday.

Conversely, given that Bridges will become a free agent this summer, Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer made the argument for the Hornets to hold onto the forward.

According to Yahoo Sports NBA: Ball Don’t Lie, Fischer stated, “You look forward to this summer (and) they’re going to have opportunities to send him out the door via sign and trade.” “They could sign him to a long-term contract themselves, which would increase the number of teams interested in signing him this time next year.”

For the Hornets this season, Bridges is averaging over 21 points and seven rebounds each game.
