NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Charlotte Hornets are trading veteran forward Gordon Hayward to the Thunder.

Point guard Tre Mann and other salaries commensurate with the trade will be sent to the Hornets, according to Charania.

The 33-year-old Hayward is averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while shooting 36% from three-point range and 47% from the field. He is currently in the last year of a $31.5 million contract.

However, Charlotte (10-40), which wanted to move Hayward and still has the option to trade numerous others, has again another unsuccessful season.

With 13 games played, Mann, 23, is averaging 3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 42% from three-point range and 52% from the field.

The Los Angeles Clippers are only a half-game behind Oklahoma City (35-16), which is tied for first place in the Western Conference standings with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets.
