Luis Sinisterra of Leeds United is a target for AC Milan to replace Rafael Leão in the summer.
According to Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti, at least that is what he is reporting. MilanLive.it has reposted his statement from Pellegatti’s YouTube channel.
Leeds received Jaidon Anthony in return for allowing the winger to sign a loan agreement with AFC Bournemouth last summer.
This season, Andoni Iraola has mostly substituted the Colombian international. Out of 17 games, he has three goals and three assists.
In the unlikely event that Leão were to depart the San Siro, the Leeds-owned player has the support of many to succeed him.
“If Leão were to depart, who could take his place? “I have been talking about this replacement for years; he plays in the Premier League, I promise you of that,” he remarked.
“We are talking about Luis Sinisterra, who is exactly the appropriate player and one of the very few footballers who might maybe replace Leão in terms of enjoyment, technical ability, and entertainment level. Leeds paid €25 million to acquire Feyenoord, where he was already extraordinary.
The journalist asserts that the South American is “worth at least €25-30m” and that his current contract with Leeds United expires in 2027.
Pellegatti clarified on Sinisterra: “He plays on the left, but he primarily plays on the right with Colombia.” I can tell you that he is a San Siro player. He seems like the perfect person, yet everything is futuristic.
Pellegatti doesn’t say if the attacker or the Whites are prepared to talk to Milan about a deal. Sinisterra is currently scheduled to return to Elland Road following his loan stint at Bournemouth.
