The Charlotte Hornets lost 124-118 to the Los Angeles Lakers, their eighth straight game, and were defeated once more. The Hornets fought hard despite losing. LeBron James and Brandon Miller were even exchanging shots as they fought for the top spot.
Following a career-high 35 points against the Indiana Pacers, Miller put on a show.
Miller scored 33 points in a game against LeBron and the Lakers.
For the novice from Charlotte, it was akin to a coming-out celebration. For the benefit of everyone else who hasn’t seen what he’s been up to in year one, at least. He made Hornets history by being the first rookie to score 30 points in two straight games.
When asked about the record, Miller responded, “I think that shows a lot of confidence.” “Congrats to my teammates for helping me gain the confidence I need to take the shots I do in close games like this one, especially with the crowd in full swing. It’s not just me; it’s truly all of my teammates. I wouldn’t have taken those photographs if it weren’t for them.”
Even though he committed three early fouls in the first half, Miller came back and played fantastically to give his team a chance to win. Even today, more seasoned players in the NBA still battle with that poise.
Miller fought through double teams and traps.
The Lakers effectively increased their defensive intensity when they witnessed Miller putting his team back into the game. He described what it’s like to be a rookie in such circumstance and how to include his colleagues.
Miller remarked, “I think I try to get the ball out early, find someone on the back side, with the double teams and traps.” “Having it out early creates a lot of fantastic opportunities, so I believe the biggest key there is just playing selflessly.”
Even though this team is losing a lot, they are playing better. Miller is averaging 29 points per game on 49/45/86% shooting splits in his last five outings. As Charlotte looks to get back in the win column, Brandon Miller, who is currently enjoying the hottest run of his brief NBA career, will seek to continue leading the Hornets.
